The Council appointed RPS to undertake an extensive Coastal Flooding and Erosion Risk Assessment (CFERM) study of the Outer Rogerstown Estuary area. Stage 1 of this study assessed the Coastal Flooding and Erosion risk and included an Optioneering Process to develop suitable Management Plans.

Coastal Erosion Maps x

As part of the Stage 1 Risk Assessment, RPS produced a series of Coastal Erosion Maps for the Outer Rogerstown Estuary area. Coastal erosion maps have been produced for 2050 and 2100 and illustrate erosion extents based:

  • Existing, present day conditions
  • The Medium Range Future Scenario (MRFS) whereby Sea Levels are expected to rise by +0.5m by 2100
  • The High End Future Scenario (HEFS) whereby Sea Levels are expected to rise by +1.0m by 2100

Consultation Event – September 2020x
