Active travel paths refer to infrastructure designed to support non-motorised forms of transport, such as walking, cycling and wheeling. NAC has an initiative to improve access within and between communities by facilitating active travel for people of all abilities, and to support the uptake of active travel as the preferred modes for everyday journeys.
North Ayrshire Council is in the process of evaluating potential enhancements to existing paths and the development of a new Active Travel Path to facilitate better connectivity among Auchenharvie Leisure Centre, Lockhart School, and Auchenharvie Academy. Read more.....
